 This year's Chicago Bridal Showcase brings
you the feel of historic Mackinac Island - and a chance to honeymoon there for
free..
The Showcase, in its fourth year, will take place
from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2006, at the northern
suburb's newest wedding venue, Astoria Banquet and Conference Center in the
Plaza Verde Shopping Center, 1375 West Dundee Road, Buffalo Grove, Illinois.
Astoria offers impeccable banquet rooms, impressively designed to set the scene
for all special events. Featuring magnificent crystal chandeliers and imported
silk-damask wall coverings, the Grand Ballroom is distinctly dramatic and
refined and its eloquence will be paired for the Showcase with décor
reminiscent of the quaint, traditional feel of northern Michigan's Mackinac
Island.
The Showcase will feature a fashion show with
couture fashions from upscale North and West Suburban wedding boutiques.
Exclusive Chicago area shops and services catering to brides and grooms will
include the finest wedding, travel and health and beauty consultants; purveyors
of flowers, stationary and invitations, linens, limousines, jewelry, and music.
There will also be caterers, the finest bakeries, photographers and
videographers.
In keeping with the day's theme, a lucky
couple will win a relaxing week for two at the Mission Point Resort on historic
Mackinac Island. The resort, and the traditional setting of the Island, make a
wonderful site for weddings and honeymoons. Charming ceremonial sites make any
wedding truly special and Mission Point's enchanting Water's Edge Gazebo is a
magical backdrop for photographs.
With accommodations for
every member of your bridal party, and a setting no other hotel on Mackinac
Island can provide, a wedding at Mission Point is destined to be a smashing
success.
There is no charge to attend the Showcase, and
parking is free.
